Partnerships and Collaborations

 Our vision of any partnership is a two-way process that reflect the shared and unique mission, situation and strategic direction of both organozations. Together with our partners, we shall have a strong and connected presence in our communities, providing strategic opportunities for collaboration and innovation generation.

We seek collaborations and partnerships in the following thematic areas;

Universities and Academic Institutions Partnership

  1. Franchise

This programme is designed to bring new expertise and networks to students and staff. Our franchise partners deliver their courses either at Newgate University Minna premises or online using the University resources and teaching support of the partner institution. The course design, assessment, and quality are assured by the franchise partner. Students receive the award of the franchise partner upon successful completion.

  1. Twinning

This involve a course and qualification that is jointly developed, delivered and assessed by Newgate University Minna and the partner institution. Students receive a Newgate University Minna or the partner university or joint award upon successful completion.

  1. Articulation

Our articulation agreements allow students to undertake part of studies at Newgate University Minna and at least two semesters at the partner institution or vice versa. Upon successful completion of an approved course of study, the students are award degrees of Newgate University Minna or that of the partner institution.

  1. Progression

Out progression agreement recognise the successful completion of a partner programme as preparing the students academically for entry onto a Newgate University Minna course.

  1. Validation

This is a non-degree programme developed, delivered and assessed by a partner institution, and quality assured by Newgate University Minna. The courses are approved by Newgate University Minna and students achieve a Newgate University Minna qualification and certificate upon successful completion.

Research Partnerships

The office of the Vice Chancellor works with corporate and businesses, research institutes, universities, faculty, staff, and students to create mutually beneficial partnerships on research projects that directly benefit industry, the economy and society. Our research partnership agreements allow the university to maximize the use of specialist facilities including equipment sharing, data sharing, and knowledge and expert sharing.

Partnering with Businesses

In this scheme, we strive to establish a working partnership with businesses and industries: sharing goals and ambitions that see businesses – and our country – grow and thrive.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme of the University is established to help business to innovate and grow. Through our Community Engagement programme, we will establish partnerships with KTPs to deliver competitive advantage to the business we have partnered with, from increased turnover to the ability to enter new markets.
