All new first-year students admitted to Newgate University Minna (NUM) must participate in the matriculation exercise either in-person or online.
The Matriculation Ceremony is designed to help incoming students transition to their first semester at NUM. During the ceremony, you will meet with new and current students, faculty, and staff; hear from your Heads of Department, Faculty Deans and and University Management. The goal is to ensure that you are able to get a better sense of who we are as a University, and how we can help you transition to this exciting moment in your life.
The matriculation of new students takes place at the University Main Hall on dedicated days shortly before the beginning of the semester. So that the rooms where matriculation itself takes place do not get overcrowded,ย only one accompanying person per studentย is allowed. Other accompanying persons are invited to visit the stands and/or the campus during matriculation.
