Mallam Hassan Nuhu is a visionary entrepreneur and respected public servant whose passion for nation-building through education, innovation and sustainable development has created a lasting legacy. He is widely recognised for his contributions to the advancement of education and healthcare in Niger State.

Following years of service in the public sector, he moved into the private sector with a clear mission: to establish sustainable, high-impact institutions that drive human capital development. He began with the founding of Newgate Comprehensive Academy, then established the Newgate College of Health Technology, the first private monotechnic in Niger State, and finally Newgate University Minna, the first private university in Minna.

The Newgate group today also includes:

• Newgate Consults Nigeria Ltd, a consortium specialising in construction, real estate development and finance-focused consultancy
