Computer Hardware and Software Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Newgate University Minna’s Centre for Information
and Technology Systems, to appoint a permanent full-time qualified Computer Hardware
and Software Technician. The Centre provide core IT services to the University’s students,
academics and professionals, and is currently exploring new technologies and striving to be
innovative around improving the customer experience.
As the successful candidate, you will take a leading role in installation, diagnose, repair and
maintenance of computer hardware and software components (routers, peripheral devices,
servers, IPs etc.) and networks (LAN/WAN), ensuring the smooth running of computer
systems.
Qualifications/Requirements

1. Applicants must possess a minimum of HND Upper Credit in a Computer
   Science or related subject or equivalent professional experience.
2. Be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge/competency in a range of key areas
   including hardware and software administration, network management and data
   integration solutions.
3. The role will require a significant level of problem-solving skills and input into
   project management.
4. Proven experience as computer technician or similar role.
5. Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
6. Relevant certifications will be an advantage
