About this Programme
The Bachelor of Science in business administration degree program provides students with a comprehensive knowledge of business theories and models and their application to real world problems, with a focus on:
- Analysis of business problems and opportunities.
- Key business functions, such as leadership and entrepreneurship.
- Analysis and implementation of business decisions and theories.
Students learn to connect business concepts to the larger global society, with preparation for a clear career path within the field of business. They are provided a solid preparation to continue to graduate studies in business administration or related fields.
The program has three overarching goals and Objectives:
- Provides a framework in applying appropriate business models in decision-making situations.
- Interpret and analyze accounting information for efficiency and continuous performance improvement
- Apply concepts and principles for marketing resources, goods and services
- Understand the basic principles of corporate finance and how capital markets operate
- Understand how and when to use basic statistical analysis
- Understand fundamental principles of economics and how they apply to business decisions
- Identify and analyze business problems and opportunities and formulate recommendations for courses of action.
- Identify opportunities for new business ventures, and evaluate their potential for success.
- Covers the knowledge and skills needed to perform effectively within a team environment.
- Lead and/or co-lead collaborative projects using team building skills to accomplish group goals apply their knowledge of basic components and interactions between hardware and software to create programs to solve computing problems
- Understand the basic principles of organizational theory and the relationship between employees and organizations
- Understand the principles of setting performance goals, and monitoring, mentoring and motivating employees.
- Enhances a command of applying ethical reasoning to business situations
- Demonstrate how business behavior and policies can leave a lasting effect on society, and how some portions of society may be affected differently
- Develop self-awareness with respect to management style, time management, and sensitivity to diversity in the workplace

On completion of B.Sc. in Business Administration programme, graduates will demonstrate the following knowledge and skills
Business knowledge: Our students will demonstrate application and integration of knowledge in the following ways:
- Application: demonstrate one can apply functional and foundational concepts to think critically and solve business problems in curricular and co-curricular situations.
- Functional interdependence: demonstrate an understanding of the interdependencies among business functions and processes.
- Interface with society: demonstrate an understanding of how economic, legal and regulatory, political, social, technical, environmental, and competitive forces (local, regional, global) impact business and vice versa.
Innovative thinking: Our students will demonstrate innovative thinking in the following ways:
- Opportunity recognition: articulate ways to turn situations and problems into business or personal opportunities.
- Creativity: recognize when creative thinking is appropriate in a problem-solving process and generate novel solutions to problems or new ways to respond to opportunities.
Personal and social responsibility: Our students will demonstrate personal and social responsibility in the following ways:

- Reflective thinking: demonstrate careful consideration of a belief, form of knowledge, action, or experience and think about it, evaluate it, and develop insight toward future action.

Communication skills: Our students will demonstrate effective communication in the following ways:
- Writing: produce quality business documents that exhibit competence in content, organization and clarity, quality, and referencing.
- Presenting: develop and make quality business presentations that exhibit competence in content, listening, media, non-verbal presentation skills, organization and clarity, and verbal presentation skills.
- Informal communication: communicate effectively in curricular or co-curricular small group situations.
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Applicants:
- An acceptable score in the UTME and at least five (5) credits including Mathematics, English and Economics or Commerce in Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or National Examination Council (NECO) in not more than two (2) sittings
Director Entry Applicants:
- Direct entry applicants must have at least four (4) credits including English and mathematics in SSCE or NECO in at most two sittings and at least two passes in ‘A’ level G.C.E or Diploma at credit level or Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB).
