Newgate University Minna is the first University to access this opportunity in Northern Nigeria hailed ICAN Chairman, Mohammed Soja, FCA.
Mohammed Soja, FCA said this at the Career Talk presented by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) at Newgate University Minna City Campus earlier today.
In delivering his career talk to the students who he called “the luckiest generation,” Mohammed Soja examined the need to be a member of ICAN, its lucrative opportunities, privileges and advantages.
He posited that the opportunities open to chartered accountants are not only confined within the four walls of working jobs but also in the wide arrays of opportunities for entrepreneurship.
Ending his speaking session, he thanked and praised NUM’s management for availing the students the opportunity to acquire their professional certificates while being undergraduates.
He also noted that Newgate University Minna will be the first University in Northern Nigeria to enjoy this opportunity.
Other speakers at the event included The General Secretary Minna District Society of ICAN, Mustapha Lemu and Mrs. Haolat Kolawole, ACA- Financial Secretary Minna District Society of ICAN.
Following a Q & A Session, the Career Talk ended with a courtesy visit to the PRO Chancellor, Mall. Hassan Nuhu who expressed his happiness in hosting the honoured visitors.
In his speech, he assured that the management of Newgate University Minna will continue to do its very best for the benefit of mankind.
He also hinted some additions to the university’s undergraduate programs by the start of next session which invariably will augment the sphere and space for the ICAN program.
He further encouraged the efforts made by the visitors while registering his desire to play their host in the future.
