1. Find and choose the academic programme you would like to study (click HERE to view our Programmes)
2. Check the admission requirements, especially specific grades and subject combinations required for your chosen programme before applying.

4. Scan your all academic credentials as one file and saved in PDF format
5. Make a payment of N25,000.00 (twenty five thousand Naira only) at our designated bank account:

6. You will need the bank deposit slip or payment transaction PRINT OUT (if you used POS) to submit your application.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form

1. Applications form can be accessed online using the the University admission portal (click HERE to access the Portal).

Follow the steps below to apply online;

1. Create an account using your e-mail and a password. You will always login to the portal using this e-mail and password to monitor the progress of your application.
   You will receive notifications regarding your application on this email. It is recommended that you check your email regularly to receive updates on your application.
2. Once you login to the portal, click on the APPLY NOW button displayed under the running scheme.
3. Fill in all the required fields to be able to submit your application.
4. Upload your academic credentials as one PDF file
   Choose the Mode of payment and input the Bank Deposit Slip (Teller) number or transaction code (if you used POS or Electronic Transfer).

• You may start an application, save it, and return to it any time before submitting.

1. Alternatively you may wish to fill a hard-copy of the application form if you are having problems with internet network.

• Obtain a hard-copy of the application form from the admission office at our City Campus along Minna-Bida Road, Minna or at any of our designated selling Centers or Agents with evidence of payment of the application fees.
• Return the completely filled application form with the relevant supporting academic documents and evidence of payment to the Admissions Office at the City Campus of the University or to the Centre or Agent where you obtained the form.

Step 3: After Submitting your Application

After submitting your online or hard-copy application form, you will be notified by email of the successful submission of your application (allow for 3 working days if you submit a hard-copy of the form).

When a decision has been made regarding your application, you will be notified as soon as possible (usually takes about 5 working days following notification of successful submission of application).

You may be invited for an online or in-person interview before you are offered a provisional admission letter if your application is successful.

   Yes, the portal is now open for application.
2. What are your new programmes?
   Doctor of Physiotherapy, Project Planning and Management, and Criminology and Security Studies
3. Must I come to the school to apply?
   No. While it is an option, it is not entirely necessary. You can start and complete your application online via our website.
4. What is the tuition fee?
   Tuition fees vary from one programme to another. However, you can find the fee structures (here)
5. Do I need Jamb to apply?
   Yes. But in the case of awaiting result, you can go ahead to apply, thereafter, retain your admission after meeting with the requirement.
6. When will the new intakes resume?
   Student induction programme for the new intake will commence from 19th September, 2023
7. Do you offer distance learning program?
   Yes we do but we run a blended program which means you will be required to learn onsite and online.
8. Do you offer accommodation/ is accommodation part of other charges?
   Yes we offer hostel accommodation. Our girls hostels are fully furnished to provide maximum comfort and world-class accommodation. No, accommodation fees is not part of other charges. You only apply for hostel accommodation after you have accepted your admission and cleared your school fees.
9. Is your school accredited?
   Yes. Newgate University Minna was approved by the Federal Executive Council on 6th of April followed by the issuance of operating license by NUC on 12th May, 2022.
10. What are the requirements for application? JAMB and O’level (WAEC) results are basic requirements.
11. Can I apply for Direct Entry? Yes, you can. Candidates with OND, NCE, HND and first Degrees can apply for Direct Entry.
12. What is the method of payment? Must I come to the school to pay my tuition fees?
    The answer is No. You don’t need to come to campus to be able to pay your fees. You can pay online via the designated bank account on our website.

N/B: Keep off from anyone who will ask you to pay into undesignated accounts. All fee payment must be made in favour of Newgate University official bank account. Any payment outside of the approved channel is at the candidates risk and detriment.
